Unlike other companies that may not take the time to describe the difference between the different types of impact glass (and simply up sell you from the beginning) we would be happy to explain the differences and find what is exactly right for you.
For instance, impact glass can come in the form of tempered glass or laminated glass or even a combination of the two. Tempered glass is designed to absorb impacts without breaking, but when it does break it comes apart into small pieces of glass (unlike normal window glass) that are designed to keep cutting and lacerations to a minimum. Laminated glass on the other hand is created from at least two layers of glass that have a sticky layer in between. The result is that while laminated glass is strong, like tempered glass, when and if it does break the small pieces stick together in a sheet that looks like a spider web. Basically, laminated glass offers a layer of safety that is not available in standard or even tempered glass.
There are also quality levels of glass. There is normal window glass that breaks just from the impact of a stone on one extreme and there is bullet-resistant glass (BR) that is commonly used in convenience stores and banks on the other.
